Prayer Request: China´s 1,395,000,000
:: NEEDS IN CHINA: There is "a lack of freedom of religion, a lack of free elections, a lack of freedom of speech and the media, and a propensity for human abuses including child labour, slavery and human trafficking", says John E. Carey on Peace and Freedom today in the blogpost "Vietnam and China: See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil".
President Hu´s current myopia which Peace and Freedom calls the "Blindness to Darfur" strategy. The UN condemns it. The EU condemns it. NATO condemns it. Everybody condemns it. Both the Canadian Prime Minister and the King of Sweden and his PM spoke to Hu about it in the course of ten days in June 2007. But President Hu is on a course to blow off the entire world, which he has been doing for some time. One small fly in the ointment: Hollywood stars that are starting to refer to the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics as the "Genocide Games".

REFLECTION President Hu Jintao visited our country, Sweden, a month ago and our King and the Government shared common national things during the weekend 8-10 June. It was a special occasion when Sweden also could talk about freedom of speech and freedom of religion etc.
We know about the persecution of Chinese believers and the pastors and members of the House Church movement. Many are individuals and prisoners we support with prayers and letters; see Prisoneralert.
Thinking of China I´m praying for: (1) the CCP-regime, (2) president Hu Jintao, (3) the 1,395,000,000 wonderful Chinese citizens and (4) praising the LORD for the courage and witness shown by the persecuted Christians in China.
