On the morning of March 4, when attorney Gao Zhisheng was on his way to his office, three plainclothes police deliberately physically provoked him, pushing him around.
Gao was then taken by local police to the Xiaoguan Police Station of Chaoyang Public Security Bureau in Beijing. Gao was about to hold his Saturday's weekly hunger strike in his office. At about 9 a.m., a Sound of Hope (SOH) reporter interviewed Gao while he was in the police station.
Gao: I am sorry. I am in the police station right now talking with them.
