Fire & Counter Fire...

F i r e & C o u n t e r F i r e . . .
During the 19th Century it used to be said that from Sweden there were two famous kind of Fire coming over the World. One was all the missionaries to India, China, Africa sent and set on fire by the Swedish missionary and evangelist Fredrik Franson. The other was the Swedish Match.
In the Newspaper Världen idag [10/06/05] you can read about Fire by Prayer (in Swedish "Moteld") >> Counter Fire
When we talk and read about Revival we often hear its Fire burning over areas of provinces, villages and folks. And… often we think that we have a long way to that real experience again. In Sweden we have been waiting and wondering about its coming for years and decades and almost for one and a half century.
When we read the article about the woman in Filadelfia, Stockholm, mrs Britt Rosén we can grasp and understand a very important thing about the Christianity and its call. The LORD has a mission for every single little person, old or young, pensioned or in the usual business. And that mission is just this call to Prayer and Intercession. This simple call is what sets on fire - changing people, areas of provinces and villages, from Kungsträdgården to Götaplatsen in the West, and from Kullagrundets fyr till Hjärtestenarna in the North.
Prayer and intercessors alone in the chamber or with some prayer friends during some hour - perhaps every morning as Britt Rosén is reporting from Stockholm (or as it's happening in Uddevalla, Uppsala, Jönköping, Göteborg, Umeå and Luleå).
This is a very proper and special mission for all those who can hear what the Spirit is saying in Sweden today, when a lot of things of not good content come over and over the people and the nation like waves of ungodliness in all kinds of sin against our living God and Saviour Christ Jesus and his and our Father.
The Swedish Christianity has a common challenge and that is the mission to spread the Good News at home and abroad. And we need Fire and the folks setting on fire by Prayers in the chambers. No one needs to say: "I'm too old" or "I´m not any longer in ministry." As long as we can breathe - our Father in Heaven loves to listen to our hearts about our needs for Grace.
