PRAYER AND THE PRESENCE OF GOD
Read what a wife writes about learning from non-believers...
She talks about her husband:
"...The other night, he pointed out some not-terribly-obvious-but-definitely-present disingenuity in something that a mutual friend said in casual conversation. He said to me, “I feel like he knew how to say what the church taught him. But I also feel like he says one thing and does another. He says that he thinks we are either predestined to go to heaven or to hell, that you’re either going one place or the other and it doesn’t matter what you do. He acts like he’s a good Christian boy, but then he acts like it doesn’t matter if he leers at that woman or lies to his girlfriend.”
---So after thinking about what my husband said to me, I think that we should do two things. One is to think through our answers to common questions. Two is to continually be honest about ourselves - how we live and what we do."
It´s often about talk and walk, also in this text.
